Dan Gage talks about playing the harmonica. It’s wild because it seems like he could be talking about just about anything. The idea of learning your fundamentals and at some point playing your own thing is beautiful.
We do that in just about everything we do. At some point, don’t look to the teacher to show you how to do it. You just have to develop your own style. You own way that is uniquely you.
Your own way is your own way if you are playing a child’s toy (as some people regard the harmonica). It’s your own way if you are playing football (soccer). I suppose it’s your own way if you’re launching satellites.
